The purpose of the initiative is to broadcast critical, new and valuable ideas of scholars and professionals to the public. The Scientect website was launched in February 2016 in response to the limited dedicated platforms to communicate science and research findings to the general public in Ghana. The initiative has since evolved into a community of young scholars and professionals around the world, expanding our focus and scope to all academic disciplines and professional fields. Scientect’s ultimate vision is to serve as a voice of scholars and professionals, particularly graduates and early career reserchers. Our website reaches out to over 31,000 people globally. We publish articles in all fields and academic disciplines including science and innovation, educative articles and opinions about the application of research. We also report events and activities that contribute new knowledge and inform the public. The website is updated by the Scientect Editorial Team (SET), with input from experts across all academic disciplines and professional fields.
