She studied Development Communication (Master of Arts) at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. She holds a Degree in Public Relation and Advertising from the same Institution. She did her National Service as a Teaching Assistant after a Diploma in Communication Studies. Adwoa Adubia Effah-Frimpong started Broadcast journalism after her Secondary Education at a Radio Station in the Bono Region. She also worked with the New Crusading Guide Newspaper and Hello Fm at Kumasi. She has over 10 years’ experience in Broadcast, Print and Online Journalism with several articles on issues affecting Women and Children to her credit. Adwoa Adubia Effah-Frimpong worked with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection briefly on a World Bank Project, a call and referral center for victims of various forms of abuse, neglect, torture and injustice, seeking redress. Working briefly at the Call Centre she had better appreciation of issues of injustice, neglect, violation of human rights, unequal access to justice, unfairness and the plight of victims in Ghana and across the African continent. Adwoa Adubia believes the world would be a better place for all if women and children’s rights are protected. The structures and systems in the country must protect the marginalized, disabled and the vulnerable in society. Adwoa Adubia believes an effective family structure coupled with appropriate counseling services is the antidote to high divorce rates, street-ism, hooliganism and deviant behavior. As the saying goes ‘Charity begins at Home’. The website has a relationship category which offers advice to couples and yet to be couples on best ways of managing conflicts and day to day problems in order to have a long lasting mutually beneficial relationship.
